Big designs!

Good morning everyone!

It is a be-a-u-tiful morning. Decided to continue to upload some of my previous work. So, I'll start with my 'big designs'. These are two pieces I have done over the last 3 weeks and they are done on full A3 size.

This is the first design. I decided to try a pinup girl on a much larger scale but to use a cartoon, fun, quirky kind of style. I chose to have her dressed like catwoman. I made her look fun and sexy! I also chose her to have red hair as I think against the dark catsuit it looks really bold and stands out. This wasn't a tattoo design created for someone, it was more intended as a goal for myself. I am really pleased with this tattoo style and how my drawing and colouring came out.

This tattoo design was a request! Although I believe the client will probably not use this for a tattoo, she still loved the final outcome.
I have never ever done portraiture and definitely never tried to draw an animal so this was my very first attempt to capture the client's pet, an 8 year old Husky dog. I asked her permission to look at her photographs she had on Facebook, chose one and went from there. This drawing had no outline to it, purely just black heavyweight pencils and a hint of colour. I wouldn't mind trying portraiture again but as a first attempt, I felt it was not too bad!

In the last two days, I have completed another A3 size drawing but have decided to keep that for a second blog post once I'm all up to date with the rest of my designs! I usually draw on a smaller scale for tattoos that could be used on arms, legs etc. But any requests for larger scale ones I am happy to do and of course, I still want to design them!

Post soon.

Line work

Hi there!

So these drawings I have started, probably around about March time. I really needed to just lose myself in something other than being a mum and a housewife etc cause let's face it, you need some YOU time...sometimes! So, I started properly drawing again around March, was after I got my third tattoo done I said to myself, 'I definitely want to do this!'. I've made a commitment to myself to try and draw at least once a day. Not easy with a baby but I do my best!

These drawings here have all been pencil drawn first, then outlined with black marker. I don't use rulers, compasses or anything to help me draw. This is all free hand work. I have watermarked my images and would appreciate some credit for any of them being used or even mentioned for a tattoo or design for anything! So these are the first styles I worked on.

This is an Alice in Wonderland tattoo design.
I kind of played around with it, made it a bit more fun and added different elements of Wonderland to it. I suppose this could be a thigh piece or even something on the back!

This is an tie piece anchor tattoo design.
I absolutely love nautical tattoos so I wanted to do my own but with lots of detail and to include a time piece in it. Again, you can see it's not perfectly symmetrical but as I said above, I don't use any instruments to aid my drawing!

This is a more traditional style of tattoo design. I included a compass, laurel wreath and a swallow. I ended up colouring this one eventually and used only yellow, red and black. Again, this style is my favourite kind to do!

This is a tattoo design I created for my partner. He said he wanted something to represent him. So I chose a heart to represent him being a good, loving person. I then made a tree growing from the heart to symbolise our family growing and then three birds for the three of us. I added detail to the heart as he's quite unique and has an intricit personality!

This is a pin up mermaid style tattoo design.
As I said before, I like nautical themes and I also really like pin up girls. Especially Sailor Jerry ones. So I decided to attempt this one. I'm not very good at drawing people but it was a first attempt so I'm glad I gave it a shot!

So yeah! I'm still going with the drawing. I actually worked on a new piece today. I have more to put up that's mainly colour work that I've previously done over the last 3 weeks. So watch this space! Post soon.

Friday 16 May 2014

Hi! And welcome to my blog. I'm 21, Scottish, a mother to a beautiful baby boy and I have a fiance. I am currently a stay at home mum but in my spare time, if any, I like to create designs for tattoos.

I have a BA in Design and Creativity I received in 2013. I am hoping to be taken on as a tattoo apprentice and become a fully qualified tattoo artist. I've always had a creative mind and absolutely adore creating artwork. I have several pieces I have done and I find my style is quite fun, traditional and old school.

If you have any requests for designs, please email me at klouisefraser@gmail.com

Here, I'll be posting updates, my designs and more! Hope you'll keep an eye out! Thanks.

Post soon!
